I work with older adolescents, adults, couples, parents and families. I’m very experienced in working with eating disorders in particular, as well as anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and trauma.
I specialise in the Family Based Treatment of adolescent eating disorders, and Attachment Based Family Therapy of adolescent depression. People also come as see me because of relationship difficulties, ongoing difficulties in work or study, or simply a desire to understand themselves better.
I work in the methods of psychodynamic psychotherapy, having a background in internal family systems model (IFS), psychoanalytic psychotherapy in the object relations school, as well as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) and interpersonal psychotherapy (ITP).
My formal qualifications include a Master of Psychotherapy, Master of Social Work, Master of Nutrition and Dietetics, Grad Dip Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Education.My memberships are as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers, a Clinical Member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy and a member of the Academy of Trauma Therapists.
